GRAS OOO is organising the production of granulated ammonium sulphate with a capacity of 250 thousand tonnes per year on the site of the special economic zone of industrial production type ‘Kuzbass’ in Kemerovo.

The new production facility of GRAS OOO is being built on the territory of Azot KAO. Granulated ammonium sulphate will be produced by sintering from crystalline sulphate. Start-up and commissioning works are scheduled for mid-September.

All necessary process equipment has already been delivered to the construction site, its installation is at the final stage, the steel structures of the main building have been fully assembled. A transition gallery has been covered over, which connected the new plant with the existing ammonium sulphate shop of Azot KAO, which supplies the main raw material.

At the same time, communication facilities are being installed and railway tracks are being brought in for shipment of products to customers. The fire extinguishing system is being installed in the main building and the thermal unit is being assembled. In the near future, the installation of auxiliary steel structures will be completed, and work has begun on the improvement of the adjacent territory.

The plant is scheduled to be put into commercial operation in December 2024. The payback period of the new production will be 5 years. About 70 people will be involved in the work process. Production will be carried out non-stop, in four shifts.
